Auto Unscrewing Moulds

Auto unscrewing moulds are the preferred design for components with an internal thread form. They may be either hot or cold runner design. There are several design methods used to revolve either the core or a sleeve to release the part from the thread. We will be happy to suggest the best method depending on the capabilities of the customers moulding equipment.

During the design of an auto unscrewing mould, close attention will be paid to the choice of steel, hot runner system, water circuits, feed points, venting, split lines and all other technical aspects that will prolong the life of the mould and minimise downtime during maintenance whilst maximising efficiency to achieve the lowest possible cycle time.
