Stack moulds

95% of Stack moulds require a hot runner system. Moulds range from 1 + 1 cavity to multi-cavity, multi-drop manifold design. The initial cost of a stack mould is higher due to the complexity of design, however these costs are often absorbed due to the increased production of the mould, which is twice that of a single face design on a moulding machine with the same locking tonnage. We are happy to recommend the best system for the customer's product.

During the design of a stack mould, close attention will be paid to the choice of steel, hot runner system, water circuits, feed points, venting, split lines and all other technical aspects that will prolong the life of the mould and minimise downtime during maintenance whilst maximising efficiency to achieve the lowest possible cycle time.
